Hi guys,
This is just a quick email to say thanks to the pair of you for being so passionate and good at sail training.
My instructor and moderator for my YMI, said that i was at the level of YMI before i did it, and have you guys to thank for that.
He went on to say that i must have been trained to a very high standard from the beginning, and i agree with him, the things I learnt doing my Yachtmaster will stay with me through out my sailing career.
I know the last few years have been a struggle for you guys, but i hope you will not deprive people like myself the great training that you offer.
I wish you all the best with Cyperia if anyone can make it work it is you guys, and as always if there is anything i can do i am happy to help.

Commercial Yachtmaster 2010
I had dropped out of collage after 2 years of an Engineering degree as I couldn't see myself either finishing it or using it for work.
So I was 22 with no permanent work or qualifications when I stumbled upon this course and I couldn't be happier.
Not only did I have a fantastic time on the course but I now have a skill and qualification that can get me a job that I will enjoy rather that just put up with.
I now look forward to the future rather that dread it.
Every day of the course I had a great day and knew that I was learning a lot.
Both Niall and Gail were great throughout the course and I defiantly got more out of it than I had expected.
I would recommend it to anyone.

Thank you so much Niall and Gail. You have gone out of your way to ensure we all had a brilliant 6 months. I cant believe I have gone from having next to no sailing experience to feeling absolutely comfortable and confident skippering a boat by day and night. I have spent the last 6 months smiling and you have taught me a skill that makes me truly happy so that I can keep on grinning away! It feels wrong to be on land on a Monday (it's been all of 2 days!) so have just been excepted on an Atlantic crossing.

What a 6 months it has been! It's amazing to think of just how little
I knew when I arrived in Adrigole in September and now look at me!
I really felt we were prepared for the shore-based exams at Christmas
and for the practical. Niall, Kuba & Simon are fantastic instructors
- very patient!!
Hope to see you soon.

I would like to thank you all very much for the highly professional
course you ran over the winter. It was a fantastic experience which
I would not have missed for the world (I just which I could do the
course again next year). The instructors that work at the centre
are very professional and have really helped me through the Yachtmaster
exams without making it feel like work. I hope to be back soon to
do further courses.
Best Wishes
Alex
I was looking for a complete career change when I stumbled across
West Cork Sailing on a Google search. I liked what I saw straight
away and after a few quick e-mails and phone calls to Gail, I signed
myself up. I'd done my level 1 dinghy cert way back about 12 years
ago, so I was a beginner once again when I arrived in September,
but I thoroughly enjoyed sailing their Feva fleet and got up to
level 3, which is when we started on the keel boats.
The keel boats bridged the gap between hooning along in little plastic
dinghies and sailing a yacht with the proper care, love and attention
it needs! So in these I started to learn how to sail properly, reading
the wind and so on. Kuba also made sure we knew our man overboard
drills upside down and back to front!
Then of course we graduated onto Jessy, the grown-up yacht, and
Simon and Niall prepared us thoroughly for the big final exam. So
thoroughly in fact, that on the day of the exam itself I wasn't
at all nervous and breezed through it. I couldn't believe when it
was all over with!
All in all, I had an absolutely fantastic 6 months in Adrigole,
and West Cork Sailing did a fantastic job in turning me from a complete
novice to someone who is happy and confident to sail anything that's
thrown at me.
Thanks again,
Kate
“I think completing the Yachtmaster course with West Cork
Sailing was one of the most enjoyable and exciting things I have
ever done. With a small course number you get a dedicated tuition
service and a real close knit feel to the whole centre. With additional
courses such as fire fighting and sea survival for example the course
teaches you so much more than how to sail a boat from A to B. I
also found myself in extremely challenging situations throughout,
from experiencing a storm at sea with force 10 winds and 30ft waves
to dealing with other people and personalities in close confines.
No day is ever the same and you really get to see what you’re
made of. I would recommend the course to anyone interested in sailing
or life at sea, be it as a career move or for your leisure. I certainly
enjoyed every minute of it and haven’t looked back and with
this recession crumbling all around us what better time to just
“Sail Away”.
