Our cruising yacht, Jessy of Adrigole, is a 37 foot Jeanneau Sun Odyssey. She has 3 double cabins and a spacious main saloon. The heads have a hot shower and for those that like a swim in the clear waters of West Cork, you can rinse off with a hot shower on her stern.
She is a passenger licensed vessel, which means she has a full range of safety equipment and is surveyed and serviced every winter. We pride ourselves in her being comfortable and clean. All meals provided are home prepared vegetarian or responsibly sourced local meats.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are there power sockets?
– We have limited USB charging that can be used when the engine is running, so few recommend you keep gadgets to a minimum and bring a powerbank or two!
Do I sleep on the boat?
– Yes. You are allocated a cabin on your own or with your friend / family. We don’t mix people that don’t know eachother. So if you are travelling solo, you need to book a private cabin (which is lovely to have 😊).
Do you cater for special diets?
– In a small galley it is difficult to cater for a wide variety of diets. Let us know if you have an allergy and we will plan the meals for everyone without that food or additive. We as that gluten free crew bring their own breads and but we cannot guarantee zero contamination by the other crew’s gluten breads – talk to us and we will be clear on what is and isn’t possible for you. A vegetarian or vegan boat is an easy one and most or all of our meals are vegetarian. If you are a big meat lover then let us surprize you by our amazing veggie Bolognese and curries 🥒🥕🥜

We always try to make a landing in the dinghy on one of the islands or headlands every few days to take in a short hike for those that want to stretch their legs so a pair of walking boots or shoes is a good idea.
Tip 2
Each evening we drop anchor in one of the sheltered bays or tie up alongside small fishing quays. The dinghy is available to row ashore for those that so wish.
Tip 3
The beautiful spots we anchor in have no facilities or power and you can enjoy the sound of the curlew or howling of the seals.
Tip 5
Depending on your passage, we may stop one night on a marina to top up water and plug in power if available. There is no power for hairdryers or straighteners (yes, people do ask this question).
Tip 6
The platform astern has a hot shower, so clients can rinse off after a refreshing dip in the sea.

Important:
All our trips and sailing direction are weather dependent and under no circumstances will any crew member or the boat be put in an unsafe situation, so trip schedules may have to be altered to suit the conditions. Please remember that nature and wildlife is unpredictable and sometimes she gives us it all and sometimes she can be quite secretive – no 2 trips are ever the same but there is always a good experience had by all.
Guidelines:
We request that crew keep alcohol consumption within safe levels for life at sea.
The skipper has the right to refuse and crew / passenger.
Lifejackets are supplied and must be worn at all times, as instructed by your skipper.
A small selection off waterproof jackets and trousers are available in adult M,L,XL sizes. Though we do recommend you have your own for maximum comfort.

“We were sailing with you for five days and had a wonderful time. We learnt so much and you gave us huge confidence in our ability to handle the boat . You made everything seem easy and were very forgiving when we made mistakes. Your seamanship , knowledge of the marine environment , intuitiveness and basic decency added up to us having a wonderful sailing/learning experience . We will be back. Can’t recommend you enough.”
