If you are looking to make the most of your powerboat and want to learn safe practices, then an Irish Sailing Certified powerboat training course is the answer.

Book a private tuition course in your own boat or ours and have it adapted to your own needs while covering the Irish Sailing essential training elements. We allow a maximum of 3 people on a course. Ensuring quality tuition and optimum learning. Some boat owners opt for 1:1 and get their own personal training programme.

  • 1 Day Course

    Introduction to Powerboating

    Your initial introduction to driving a powerboat, preparing you for the National Powerboat course or a confident crew.

  • 2 Day Course

    National Powerboat Certificate

    You can apply for your motorboat ICC (International Certificate of Competency) with this qualification. Covering boat management in tight spaces, high speed, wind against tide docking, man-over-board, launch and recover and much more.

  • 2 Day Course – 7 Hours per Module

    Safety Boat Certificate

    Fleet management, lee shore rescue, multi vessel rescue and much more. This course ensures you can manage your boat and be in greater control when the unexpected happens. A great way to fine tune your skills.

  • 2 Day Course

    Intermediate Certificate

    Learn to use your boat for general recreation use in fair weather conditions, during daylight hours and in familiar waters. Longer coastal passages, family day trips and activities such as swimming from the boat.

Private Tuition

Exclusive private tuition available at €600, tailored for 1-3 individuals, offering personalised courses for an enriched learning experience.

Certification Age

Minimum age for National Powerboat Certificate and higher certifications is 16 for vessels capable of planing under full load.

All training can be in our boats or yours (rate remains if within 1hr drive of Adrigole, a small additional charge for further). *Tuition in our boat or yours.
