Frequently Asked Questions

  • What do I wear?

    – We recommend you dress warm and waterproof. Powerboats can be wet and cold. Wear your wellies and have a wind / rain proof jacket – even on a sunny day!

  • Do we come back for lunch?

    – We usually come back for lunch on both days. But if the weather suits and the trainees are up for a trip, we may take our pack lunches out on the water on day 2 and picnic on a local pier, shore or island.

  • What is the minimum age?

    – The legal age for driving a boat on the plane is 16. So the course are best suited for 16 plus. If you have a 15 year old that is already driving their parents boat, we all them on the course and just miss out the planning bit – you can come back and do that when they are 16 😊
