Kayaking with the Seals … Code of Conduct

We have been operating Kayaking with the Seals for 25 years now and pride ourselves in making all the steps we can to ensure we do not impact on the life of the resident seals in Adrigole Harbour. We are proud of our own code of coduct for kayakers.

We also like to take care of the seabirds during nesting and we keep a close eye on the bird activity. Every year we request that kayakers keep their distance from Orthorn Island when the Oyster Catchers are nesting.

KAYAKING WITH THE SEALS CODE OF CONDUCT

  • Do not disturb a resting seal
  • Keep a minimum 100m distance
  • Stay quiet and no splashing
  • Do not try to follow a seal
  • Do not try to swim with a seal
